If you follow along on Facebook, you might remember this photo:
I finished this quilt about 3 weeks ago, but couldn't show you yet. I didn't want to ruin the surprise for the recipient. My sister-in-law is having her first baby, a little girl, next month. She also lives a couple thousand miles away. They day I started quilting, I received an invite to her baby shower. My plan to send this right away quickly changed, I arranged to send it to the host instead and have it waiting for her at the shower. The shower was held this weekend, so I am now free to share with the rest of you!
As soon as I heard my sister-in-law was pregnant, I knew what quilt I wanted to make for her. I made a Stretched Star quilt using Apple Of My Eye by The Quilted Fish - perfect for a little one!
I love the turn out of this quilt. Definitely one I would make again, when I have the time.
For the quilting, I tried something new. It didn't turn out how I thought it was going to - I think it turned out better!
In my attempt to copy a design I saw a tutorial for, I made up my own design that I am going to call a 'Flowering Paisley.'
I also sent along a few appliqued onsies, that I may or may not have taken pictures of. I vaguely remember taking a picture, but at the moment I can not find the images. If I find them, I will post them.
This pattern is available for purchase here!
