Scrap HST's

Like most of you, I have a TON of scraps!

I save pretty much everything, thinking I will use it somewhere someday. About the only thing I've done with them so far is applique onesies and blankets. But still, I save. And save. And save.

Yesterday I thought I would get started with all the excess from corner clippings that I have collected. I generally save these stacked nicely in zip lock bags. However, I must have placed the majority in a box or something, because I was only able to find one bag. And it just so happened to be the clippings of Cuzco I used for my Supernova Quilt

I love the side view of fabric all stacked up.

I have an idea for a scrap quilt to use up all those little triangles;
and to get started I chain-sewed them all into half square triangles (HST's).

Threads clipped and stacked neatly.
I love the layers of color!

Sample Spree

Sample Spree pre cuts of Horizon and Best. Day. Ever. have finally come in!

There was a bit of delay in getting to me, because of a typing mistake (on my part, I accidentally left out a letter while naming my order, and it wasn't picked up with the rest of the sample spree orders), I wasn't able to get everything right now :(

Here is your chance to own these beautiful new lines before their official release dates.
These cuts are in limited supply.

available now in fat eighth bundles, jelly rolls, layer cakes and charm packs.

Best. Day. Ever by April Rosenthal

Horizon

Yesterday I received the most unexpected gift in the mail. Kate Spain, who is one of the sweetest people to meet in person, sent me a couple of minis of her newest line Horizon!!

Kate showed a peek of Horizon a couple of weeks ago. If you haven't seen it, hop on over to her blog
It is BEAUTIFUL!

I am a big fan of not only Kate's designs, but the colors she uses too. (I'm still hoarding Central Park, and a bit of Cuzco. I think I still have some Good Fortune too)
I even used Cuzco for my cover quilt of Supernova. I've been thinking of redoing it in Sunnyside, but Horizon may have just been bumped to the top :)

Horizon starts shipping in September and will be available in the shop! I, for one, can not wait for Horizon to come out! In the mean time, I've been rolling a few ideas around for these minis. I'm thinking of keeping it small with a mini quilt!
