My Day At Market

I had an enjoyable time at market, even though I had only one day to spend there. It was worth the trip!
I got to meet some new friends, and see some of the nicest people at market.

Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts is always a delight to chat with. I was able to pick up all her new patterns at sample spree. Here she is in front of Come What May. This one has been on my list to do since she first showed it off on her blog.

I also need to make Ditto (one of her newest).
I love it the blue/green colorway of Simply Color by Vanessa Christensen.
Don't you just love the texture the ombres give!?!

The cuddliest spot in the whole market, Shannon Fabrics. I adore the rugs they have through out their booth, and just look at this great parasol! Their booth is like walking through a cloud. Even the floor is squishy!

I am so excited about Vanessa Christensen's debut line, Simply Color. Everything in her booth was so pretty, including Vanessa herself. She was so sweet to talk to. All her quilts looked amazing, I especially like her Houndstooth quilt in the ombre plum.

Another favorite of mine is Basic Grey. These girls are so crafty! I love their new line, Little Black Dres (coming in August). I really do want to make a little black dress for Paisley. And the little purse in the upper right corner.
Basic Grey recently released a series of quilt patterns. I am eagerly awaiting their arrival.
In the meantime, you can download a free pattern for the pillow in the bottom right corner here.

There are so many cute things coming from the brilliant ladies at Izzy & Ivy Designs. I absolutely love these ladies. They are so incredibly talented. I am so excited that they are now making clothing patterns for boys too!

My absolute favorite thing from market was the Art Gallery booth. They made this amazing color wall from their gorgeous fabrics. I am seriously considering one of these for my bedroom.
It was no surprise to me that they won first place for overall best booth.

Lindsay was able to snap this shot during our preview.
She was kind enough to let me borrow it.

One last thing to look forward to is Joel Dewberry's new patterns.
I love this Cascading Ruffle Skirt.

I've spent just about as much time on the computer today as my kids will let me.
Plus, a dress that needs to be finished, and a quilt back to make by Thursday.
I made the dress the right size according to measurements, and it is way to big for my little girl.

She might just have to grow into it.
