Deer Season

This past winter, I designed a deer themed quilt after my brother went deer hunting for the first time and got 2! I was quite inspired by the pictures he sent me and had a quilt drawn up in a matter of a couple hours. And that's where I left it. Still. On the paper. I think about it quite often, but have not yet found that perfect fabric for it.

Until last week.

Spring Market debuted several deer themed collections. I am so excited by them all! I'm pretty sure I could make a quilt with each of them!

I haven't decided which ones I will be getting in the store. I wish I had space for them all!

Rustique by Crazy Old Ladies

Brambleberry Ridge by Violet Craft

Indelible by Katrina Roccella

Moonshine by Tula Pink

Did I miss any? What's your favorite collection?

  1. hard choice! i love rustique and brambleberry ridge. both lines are beautiful. i have deer that come up in my yard. yeasterday, a doe came up with her baby that was probably less than a week old. watching them, i was so touched by her loving nudges to her baby to get him/her to follow her back in the woods. being the big baby i am, i cried. thank you for sharing.

  3. My baby girl LOVES deer. We were at a party yesterday and they had a deer on the wall and she couldn't tear herself away. I think I like brambleberry ridge the best.
