Love Letters Block Of The Month

I joined my first Block Of the Month (BOM) at the beginning of the year. I have really enjoyed it. It's been quite nice putting one block together each month. I don't feel as though I am putting this quilt aside, like a few of my others. Instead, I feel great accomplishment when I finish my month's block. As though I am working on one small project every few weeks.
I would like to be able to do a Block Of the Month (BOM) thru my shop. I found a really great pattern (by This & That) in a beautiful line (by 3 Sisters) available later this year; both available thru Moda. Before I submit my order for the BOM, I want to see if there is enough interest for it. So, I am wondering, do you want to join me in this BOM?
Love Letters by This & That
Fabrics will be from the 'Etchings' collection by 3 Sisters
The BOM would run for 6 months with 2 identical blocks each month. Finished quilt size is 65"x83"
The cost per quilt will be $22 per month, which includes pattern, fabrics and shipping for each month and finishing kit (sashing, borders and binding). I will have backing avaiable for $42.50 plus shipping. Step-by-step tutorial of each block will also be included via email pdf, upon request
(Compare to the Fat Quarter Shop at $34.99/month plus shipping and $53.95/backing plus shipping for same BOM)
Let me know your thoughts, please.

  1. Love the pattern, and I generally love 3 Sisters - But I have had a really togh time getting excited about the "gray" trend in fabrics - so this probably won't be my favorite line for a BOM.... If you offered it in one of their previous lines of fabric, I'd be in without hesitation!

  2. I would be interested in hearing more about it. Not sure how a BOM works, really. What do you get every month? My curiosity is peaked! :)

  3. I would love to do a BOM, I'm a new quilter, in fact have the fabric, have yet to cut into it. But I'm not digging the pattern or the fabric. It's a bit complicated for me, the pattern that is, and the fabric is not my taste. I'd be interested in something with a little more pop and less, antique feeling. I do like grey and I like the grey sashing that seems so popular!

  4. I would be interested in this especially if I can get a tutorial with it. I think its really pretty. I saw this fabric line and love it, but I would plan to switch out the grays for the beautiful aqua version moda has in this etchings collection. This and That pattern company lists the yardage amount of each of the fabrics needed and it doesn't look like it would be too much of an added expense to do that.

I would love to hear how folks like the pattern in terms of difficulty. I've only been quilting a couple of years, and found Deb Tucker's rulers (for wing clipper and square in square squares) so helpful and would hope I could adapt them to use in this on those squares.
